- WEEK 11 RECAP -
WRITTEN BY: PROFESSOR X
Week 11 is doneski. 3 weeks of regular season left! Who will make the playoffs? Who will miss out? Our final power Rankings will be up next week so stay tuned for that. Now let's get this quick recap out the way as I need to start my Family Day Weekend right away.
KINGS vs HEAT: Critical win for the Kings as they stole this game in the final moments from the Heat. Viji with back to back triples and the dude had ice water in his veins as he came up huge for his squad. Heat will need to regroup after this heartbreaking loss. Kings gave themselves some breathing room with this win as they look to solidify a playoff spot.
Final Score: Kings 46 - 41 Heat Player of the Game: VIJI GANESHALINGHAM 9pts/2rebs/1to - 60% Shooting - 3 Triples
THUNDER vs PACERS: Closely contested first half but the Thunder clamp down in the 2nd half to limit the Pacers to 11 points. The Thunder can always rely on their defence if their offence is not clicking and they showed that in this one. Just a complete team with no holes in their game. Pacers will look to rebound against the Bucks this Sunday.
Final Score: Thunder 52 - 36 Pacers Player of the Game: ABDULLAHI HASHI 15pts/5rebs/2asts/1stl/1blk - 62.5% Shooting
CLIPPERS vs GRIZZLIES: Clippers start off strong in the first half and hold on to defeat the Grizz. Jah once again with a big game and he is slowly finding his groove in this offence. The offence has never been an issue with this team but Jahlove giving them even more firepower as he has found his stroke lately. Grizz have a doubleheader this Sunday which could determine if they will make the playoffs or not.
Final Score: Clippers 58 - 50 Grizzlies Player of the Game: JAHLOVE LYNCH 16pts/9rebs/1asts/1stl/1to - 63.5% Shooting
BOBCATS vs LAKERS: Cats take down the Lakers and with their new addition of Atill Williams...they are scary good. They were missing Allan and Kalsang but still managed to outlast the Lakers who were also missing key players (Shawn and Jovan). This Cats are incredibly loaded and anything but a finals appearance will be a failure.
Final Score: Bobcats 68 - 62 Lakers Player of the Game: MATTHEW CAMPBELL 17pts/9rebs/8asts/5stls
CAVALIERS vs WARRIORS: Michael effin Mines. Just stop everything and hand him the god damn MVP right now. Once again without Abeku in the lineup...Michael just put on another epic performance and to top it off...dude hits the game winner at the buzzer to cement what an incredible season he has going. 63% from the field...50% from three...and 92.7% from the freethrow line. Stop it bro. Just stop. Mic drop. Nothing else to say. Shak was incredible as well and their new addition Sabit gobbled up 15 boards but Michael stole the show at the end.
Final Score: Cavaliers 64 - 63 Warriors Player of the Game: MICHAEL MINES 31pts/8rebs/4asts/1stl/1to - 78% Shooting
SIXERS vs NETS: Sixers take care of business and even up their record at 4-4. They still did not bring their A game and played down to their competition which could hurt them down the line. They got tons of talent but they gotta bring the energy for the whole game if they are going to make some noise this season. The Nets will have a chance to bounce back on Sunday against the Pistons.
Final Score: Sixers 53 - 38 Nets Player of the Game: MALCOLM KING 10pts/7rebs/2asts/1stl/2blks/1to
